Runic dice are absolute classics in our creations. They’ve been with us for a long time, and their popularity is unwavering. It’s about time to give them a new kind of flair, hence we decided to use one of the most astonishing color theme we have, known to you from our Dragons dice. The bottle-green background, resembling a dark jade gemstone, along with gold engravings, are truly a marvel to behold. Combining beauty and legibility, these dice are the source of both our pride and joy. 

For centuries runes worked as letters and symbols, with meaning varying depending from circumstances. People used them to write down great deeds, stories of heroes and gods, of leaders and clans, all to be passed on for generations to come. But for us, people immersed in fantasy settings, the most important part is the magic in them. Our ancestors believed - even today many still do - that runes invoke a greater force, incomprehensible and thus hidden from our sight without proper means of manipulation and interpretation. That’s the stepping stone of divination and spellcraft: to wisely and carefully use proper tools to tame and direct that supernatural force. Runes were engraved into carefully crafted objects to bestow mystical powers upon them, thus making them the true artifacts. From stone, bone or wood for divination purposes, to metal weapons and armor for enchanting them with amazing might. Now you know why this set is so mesmerising: it’s pure magic carved into dice.

 

 

Carve a rune - gain its power

The more noble and flexible the vessel, the more powerful rune carvings are. From the wooden tokens, through sculpted bones, the most everlasting natural material for rune engravings are stones. Jade is a mineral used throughout centuries - even millennia - as having not only decorative, but also protective, healing and mystical purposes. It was believed to shield one from harm, to help find courage and inner harmony, heal wounds, fight curses and spells, even repel evil spirits. Thats is why we chose the Bottle-green color, which resembles jade gemstone.

Runic symbols engraved and painted with golden ink are with their own meaning: they’re supposed to strengthen the protective and healing properties of jade. Because of that, your character will not only be resistant to disease and enemy spells, but also able to bring forward his or her inner strength and courage to trip the balance of any encounter.

Returns, Refunds & Order Pickup

In-store pickup

Orders placed for in-store pickup become available on:

  • Pre-orders: the product's release date (or the day the product actually arrives at our store, if later), and
  • All other orders: the day we notify you that your order is ready for pickup.

Please pick up your order within 7 calendar days of it becoming available. Orders still unclaimed 10 days after becoming available will be cancelled and the items returned to stock. Paid orders will be refunded less a 25% restocking fee; for deposit-based pre-orders, the deposit is forfeited.

Can't make it in within the week? Just let us know at shop@on-boardgaming.com or (760) 566-6782 and arrangements can be made — we're happy to hold orders longer at our discretion (for example, if you're out of town).

Pre-orders

  • Deposit pre-orders: Deposits are non-refundable and reserve your item. Once our distributor confirms stock, we'll send an invoice for the balance, which is due within 7 days of the release date. If the balance isn't paid by then, the deposit is forfeited and the item returns to stock.
  • Paid-in-full pre-orders: May be cancelled before release for a refund less a 25% cancellation fee. After release, the pickup policy above applies.

Returns

Most merchandise may be returned within 30 days of purchase (or delivery, for shipped orders). Items must be unopened and in original condition, with tags attached and original packaging intact, along with proof of purchase. To start a return, contact us at shop@on-boardgaming.com.

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Trading Card Game and Collectible Card Game products of any kind — sealed product, packs, and singles — except where we made an error regarding a card's condition or identity
  • Sale and clearance items
  • Gift cards
  • Used or pre-owned goods
  • Items that have been opened or unsealed, for health and hygiene reasons

Damaged or defective items

If your item arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days of receiving it (photos help us resolve things quickly). We'll exchange it or make it right.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved, contact us at shop@on-boardgaming.com.

Event tickets

Event tickets may be cancelled for a refund up to 24 hours before the event starts. After that, they are non-refundable.

Return shipping

If a return is due to our error — wrong product, missing items, or an item that arrived damaged or defective — we'll provide a prepaid return shipping label. For all other returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Return items to: 316 W Mission Ave #117, Escondido, CA 92025. When paying for shipping yourself, we recommend an insured, trackable service — we can't issue a refund without receiving the goods or proof of return delivery.
