Ork Boyz & Infantry Mobs — Build Your Green Tide
Build the core of your Ork army with infantry kits from Games Workshop. Ork Boyz are the cheap, numerous troops at the heart of any force, swarming objectives and overwhelming the enemy through sheer numbers. Nobz are bigger, tougher veterans who hit harder and steady the lesser Boyz, while Kommandos build a 12-model squad that uses stealth to get in close before striking. Add Gretchin or jump-pack Stormboyz to fill out the mob.
Ork Characters & Elite Units — Lead the Waaagh!
Lead your army with a commanding character and the elite units behind him. The Warboss in Mega Armour is your general, a heavily armoured boss who wades into the fighting, the natural pick for an Ork warlord. The Big Mek is an Ork engineer who builds and repairs war machines, while the Meganobz are three elite veterans in the heaviest armour an Ork can wear. With Orks, leadership comes down to size and strength.
Codex & Datasheet Cards — Master Your Strategy
Once you have your models, the Codex: Orks from Games Workshop is the rulebook you need to play them. This 152-page hardback holds the army rules, background lore, and six detachments, including new detachments, which are ready-made ways to build and theme your force. For quick reference mid-game, the Datasheet Cards: Orks set puts every unit's stats and abilities on a handy card.
Hobby Supplies & Accessories — Complete Your Arsenal
Painting your Ork army is a big part of the hobby, so finish the job with the paints, brushes, and tools that bring each model to life. Orks are split into clans with their own colours, so you can go bright red for an Evil Sunz clan, yellow for the Bad Moons clan, or rusty and battered. Stop by On-Board Gaming for basing materials, clippers, and files you need to clean up and finish your models for the tabletop.

The Green Tide That Never StopsOrks have been a part of Warhammer 40,000 since the Rogue Trader days, and they are still one of Games Workshop's most popular factions. They are a species, part animal and part fungus, and the Orkoid race spreads by releasing spores that lie dormant for long periods, so a world is never truly ork-free. They outnumber humans across the galaxy, split into clans and feral ork tribes, and follow the toughest leaders such as Ghazghkull, the Beast of Armageddon. For the Ork race, it always comes back to the next fight.DaysHoursMinsSecsFrequently Asked Questions
What is the best Ork kit for a beginner?
Can I buy individual Ork units at On-Board Gaming?
Yes. Our Escondido store and online shop both carry single Ork kits, from Boyz and Nobz to vehicles like the Trukk, so you can buy exactly the units your army needs instead of a full boxed set. Our staff is happy to help if you’re not sure where to start.
Do Orks work well for competitive play?
They can. Orks are a close-combat pressure army that wants to charge in. Their army-wide ability, the Waaagh!, gives a one-turn boost to speed, attacks, and survivability, and the new edition’s six detachments let you build toward a horde of Boyz, fast vehicles, or walking war machines depending on how you like to control the battlefield.
How do I keep my Ork models in good condition?
Clean up the kits before painting, then seal finished models with a varnish to protect the paint. Store them in a foam-lined case, and handle the thinner parts, like Stormboyz rocket packs and gun barrels, carefully, since those are the bits most likely to snap when you move the army around.
What makes Orks different from other 40k armies?
Most factions, like the Space Marines, field small numbers of strong, elite models. As a species, Orks go the opposite way: cheap, plentiful, and built to swarm. You win through sheer numbers and the momentum of a Waaagh! rather than precision. Where humans plan, Orks just pile in, and because the Ork race spreads by spores, even a beaten Ork force comes back for another fight.
