Every single card passes through our multi-point inspection by our team to ensure its listing reflects its true condition:
Corner Wear: We examine each corner for rounding or fraying—the earliest sign of play and any loss of crisp corners.
Edge Whitening: Heavy whitening along the edges—beyond slight border wear—separates Lightly Played from Moderately Played cards.
Surface Scratches & Fading: Light scuffs may appear on Lightly Played cards; Moderately Played examples show more pronounced scratching and slight fading or color loss.
Foil Scratches: Reflective surfaces reveal even the smallest abrasions, so we apply the same wear thresholds to foils (plus checks for bubbling or curling).
Creases & Faults: Heavily Ppayed cards often bear clear creases or significant creasing or edge splits but remain fully authentic and tournament-legal.
Tears & Water Damage: Any card with rips, obvious tears, stains, or moisture damage earns a “Damaged” grade and isn’t eligible for tournament use—even sleeved.
From pristine Near Mint singles with unmarked, razor-sharp edges and crisp corners to budget-friendly Damaged lots, our transparent grading process gives you confidence in exactly what you’re getting.
Great question! The images on our website are representative stock photos of the MTG cards rather than photos of the specific physical card you'll receive. For our extensive inventory of over 14,000 singles, it would be impractical to photograph each individual card. Rest assured, the actual card you receive will match the condition listed during purchase. Our rigorous quality control process ensures that cards are accurately evaluated for flaws like corner wear, minor scratches, heavy whitening, and other imperfections that might affect their condition rating.
