Runes and Regulations: Nefarious Neighbors
The Nefarious Neighbor expansion opens the Runes & Regulations game up to 5-8 players, and it completely changes the dynamics. In this expansion, a dark sorcerer with horrifying powers (and intentions) moves into the neighborhood, forcing other players to decide whether to team up or continue to quibble. The Nefarious Neighbor steals Creatures from other players and performs dark rituals to mutate them into frightening beasts. That neighbor plays with their own standalone deck (included in the expansion pack) which includes Corrupted Creatures, Curses, and Dark Runes.
The Nefarious Neighbor’s powers are so immense that their Corrupted Creatures cannot be destroyed, hexed, or stolen; however, the expansion also includes cards to shuffle into the Main Deck to help other players fight back and thwart that neighbor’s villainous plans.
One of the most interesting parts of the Nefarious Neighbor expansion is the introduction of player role cards. In addition to the Nefarious Neighbor, other players will have the opportunity to take on a new role (in secret). These roles provide you with a second win condition that nobody else knows about, giving you the opportunity to surprise your neighbors with an unexpected victory. Since only the Nefarious Neighbor’s role is known, each other player around the table is left to wonder what role their opponents might secretly be playing. These roles include things like Mr. Griffin (who wins if they successfully summons 3 Griffins), the Henchman (who wins if the Nefarious Neighbor wins and Henchman has no creatures on their Lawn), and the Humane Sorcerer (who wins by successfully saving a Stray Dog or Alley Cat).
Runes & Regulations by itself is a super fun and interactive game, and we designed it to stand entirely alone. I say this because the game really works without the expansion, and we didn’t even start working on the expansion until we had the original game completely finished and play tested. Getting to add on this expansion was a dream, though, and getting the opportunity to actually make it a reality because of the support so far on this project is incredibly exciting. The introduction of this expansion just makes the game so much more dynamic (and really creates two different games).
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Preorder deposit policy: Preorder deposits cannot be canceled. For orders that are to be shipped emails will go out once distribution confirms the order so you can pay the balance due on the order including shipping. Orders that will be picked up in store can be paid for in store. Balances due must be paid in full within a week of the release date. After that the deposit will be forfeited and returned to stock. Should any cuts or allocations occur and your order cannot be filled at release the order will be cancelled and refunded.
Paid in full preorder policy: Preorders that are paid in full upfront will have a 25% cancelation fee. Orders not picked up within a week of the release will be cancelled and refunded less the cancellation fee unless. If you can’t make it within a week of release just let us know so arrangements can be made
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like sealed TCG products or singles. (unless there was an error on condition or card) Events tickets can be canceled up to 24 hours before the start time of the event. after that are non-refundable. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
