Why Some Products Are "In-Store Only"
You might have noticed that certain items in our catalog are marked "In-Store Only" and aren't available for shipping. We wanted to take a moment to explain why.
At On-Board Gaming, we use the "In-Store Only" designation for a few specific reasons:
Supporting Our Local Community - Some products are set aside exclusively for our local customers who can visit us in person. This gives our neighborhood gaming community first access to popular or limited-quantity items before we make them available for wider distribution.
Shipping Challenges - Board games come in all shapes and sizes! Some products are exceptionally large, oddly shaped, or unusually heavy, making them difficult or expensive to ship safely. Rather than risk damage in transit or pass along prohibitive shipping costs, we make these items available for in-store purchase only.
Hazardous Materials - Certain products contain materials that are classified as hazardous for shipping purposes. While they're perfectly safe to use, current shipping regulations prevent us from sending them through the mail.
We know it can be disappointing when you can't order something online, but these designations help us serve our local community better and ensure that every product reaches customers safely and in perfect condition.
