Does the T'au Empire work well for competitive play?
Definitely. The T'au Empire supports multiple playstyles through different detachments, from the aggressive Mont'ka strategy to patient Kauyon tactics. Combined forces of battlesuits and auxiliary units create flexible army compositions. The balanced unit options make the faction competitive against other armies in the Imperium and beyond at tournament and casual levels alike.
What happened during the Damocles Crusade?
The Damocles Crusade marked the first major conflict between the T'au Empire and the Imperium of Man. Space Marines and Imperial Guard forces pushed deep into T'au-controlled star systems before the campaign ground to a stalemate. This pivotal event shaped T'au military doctrine and gave rise to legendary commanders. Phil Kelly's novel Farsight: Crisis of Faith explores this era in detail, following Commander Farsight as he faces the existential threat of Imperial forces.
