SEEDS OF UNITY

After pacifying a Leviathan and crossing the Sea of Tumult in Skybound Odyssey, the Asgarthi finally reach Asty, the Reka’s floating city. The high-tech city is built around the Naos, a world tree that the Reka greatly benefit from, but with the risk of overexploiting it.

The Asgarthi, welcomed as heroes, reconnect with the Reka after generations apart. Seeds of Unity invites you to experience this joyful reunion through rediscovery, celebration, and cultural exchange – all while exploring exciting new ways to play Altered.

This fifth set introduces new mechanics that are easy to learn but offer rich strategic decisions. It’s designed to highlight archetypes from previous sets and give them renewed depth with a new Hero, while emphasizing the importance of tactical choices on the Adventure cards.

THREE NEW MECHANICS

Three new mechanics reflect life in the floating city of Asty and the Reka’s spirit of cooperation.

MANASEEDS
The fruits from the Naos fuel local innovations, but their overuse could lead to disaster.
Ex. “Gain 1 floating mana of any color. You may only use floating mana to play cards with a Manaseed cost.”

GIFTS
Give your opponents a resource in exchange for a greater benefit to yourself.
“Gift: Your opponent gains 1 Gold. If they do, draw 2 cards.”

IN CONTACT
Control your opponent’s permanents temporarily to trigger an effect.
“When this card enters play, gain control of target opponent’s Companion until end of turn.”

DISCOVER THE NEW RARITY: EXALTED

Exalted cards expand Seeds of Unity’s storytelling with a select set of 5 characters, the Hexarchs, important leaders of Reka society.

A new rarity
With their own unique frame and distinct foiling, Exalted cards will be twice as rare as a Foil but still included in standard boosters.

Tailored Design
Each Exalted card was built to synergize with the most refined decks and adapt to your strategies.

Collectability
Each Hexarch in Seeds of Unity features its own Exalted card, each representing a different faction, and together they tell the story of the Reka’s reunification and the set’s environment.

Updated deckbuilding rules

Deckbuilding now balances flavor with flexibility: a mixture of 30 closed cards (faction cards) and 30 open cards (neutral cards). Heroes keep their open card access rules as before.

Exalted cards were designed to deepen the gameplay experience by introducing new challenges and unique deckbuilding possibilities with each set, while maintaining the balance of the game.

Seeds of Unity introduces three new Heroes: Axiom, Muna, and Ordis. These inspiring leaders reflect the different Reka philosophies, drawing strength from tradition, knowledge, and the future. Each Hero offers new deck archetypes and unique mechanics that emphasize their landmark stories.
